Important Quotes About Jannah In Quran And Ahadiths
No religion puts as much emphasis on afterlife as does Islam. Although the original teachings of previous religions like Christianity regard heaven as an eternal place to live in, but they do not offer as complete account of this critical subject as does the Religion of Peace. Allah SWT sent down Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ as His last Prophet in order to complete the Message of Righteousness for the whole world and let them know about preparing for the future life. The Almighty Lord revealed His final Sacred Book, the Holy Quran on the Holy Prophet ﷺ, which has the most comprehensive description about next world, and criteria of success in it, i.e. entering heaven.
So, God, the Exalted, tells about the decisive factor of one`s access to Jannah i.e. being the true disciples of Islam and adopting uprightness. It is the Promise of the Creator of universe for the believers, which never diminishes, and they will definitely get what they are being told about.
Now let us look at the description of heaven and its dwellers according to various quotes of Furqan e Hameed and Sayings of the Apostle ﷺ of Allah:
Account Of Paradise In The Holy Quran
The Highly Revered Manuscript of God is full of reminders about the temporary life of this world, and that the undying existence is awaiting us all in the after this. It portrays both the nature of Paradise and Hell and their occupants in a very comprehensive manner as compared to other religious books. Some of the examples of explanation of Jannah in the Holy Quran are as follows:
i) Variety Of Drinks And Fruits
Allah SWT is so Gracious and Beneficent that whenever the life of hereafter is discussed in the Sanctified Scripture, the explanation of heaven is done in such inspiring and arousing wordings that as if one is seeing them all right in front of its eyes.
The above mentioned Ayah tells us about a great deal of Allah`s Blessings upon the virtuous followers of Islam. The streams of unaffected water, pure milk, tasty wine, and those of honey and also all sorts of fruits available are all but the bounties of the Almighty God, which one can only imagine about.
ii) Comfortable And Soothing Environment
Allah SWT has described the state of true devotees having glad tidings in Jannah and the pleasant climate of that place in the following words:
So, the settings in heaven will be so peaceful and relaxing that its inhabitants will rest on decked out chaise longue and they will not be bothered by any kind of heat or extreme cold, which is the case with life on earth.
iii) Fulfillment Of All Desires And More
The world is not a place where on gets what it wants. Many of wishes are never realized in this life, but it will not be like that in Paradise. The Almighty Lord says in Furqan e Hameed:
The true believers will not only get the opportunity to relish the already available blessings of God in Jannah, but will acquire whatever they fancy. That is not it, Allah SWT further says that He will grant them even beyond their aspirations, and there are limits of His bounties.
iv) No Feeling Of Dislike Among Each Other
Every society, no matter how much pious people are living in it, consists of sentiments of hatred and abhor among its individuals. However, in Paradise, Allah Almighty has promised its adherents to have no feeling of dislike among one another whatsoever.
So, it is clear from the above stated lines from the Sacred Book that all kinds of bitterness will be wiped out from the chests of the believers in seventh Heaven, and they will live in eternal harmony.

Description Of Jannah In Ahadiths
The life of the Holy Prophet ﷺ is a guiding principle for all the believers in the Religion of Peace, as it contains the best examples of rightful living. Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ used to inspire His companions by relating the blessings of the Almighty in Paradise and the state of Mo`mineen (true Muslims) in it. Some of the examples from Sayings of the Messenger ﷺ of God regarding heaven are:
i) Heaven Is Superior Than Earth By Unthinkable Times
Every Muslim knows that the life in Jannah is way better than that on this planet, but the Apostle ﷺ Allah has regarded the existence of Paradise so much tremendous in magnitude and importance that the worldly life is not even considerable.
Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A) that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“A place in Paradise as small as the bow or lash of one of you is better than the entire world and whatever is in it.” (Bukhari)
So, the Holy Prophet ﷺ has clearly indicated towards the fact that all the pleasures and relieves that one craves for in this life, are not even equivalent in significance to the blessings of God present in the smallest place in Jannah identical to a mere knot of a rope.
ii) Blessings of Allah Never Experienced By Anyone Before
Everyone desires to get the most out of the worldly pleasures, and keeps on searching for unfulfilled wishes. But even one has all the good things in this world; it cannot be compared to those blessings of Allah present in Jannah. On the authority of Abu Hurairah (R.A), who said that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Allah said:
‘I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen and no ear has heard, nor has it occurred to the human heart.’” (Bukhari and Muslim)
The above mentioned Hadith Qudsi shows that the Almighty Lord has prepared such bounties for the believers in Paradise that no one has ever seen or heard of them before, nor one`s heart has ever had such great happiness.
In light of discussion about the life in Jannah from Quran and Ahadiths, one comes to know that the existence of heaven is highly wonderful and delightful in nature, where the true disciples of Islam will reside forever. They will have peace and comfort of all kinds in terms of everything. Hence, it is indeed the best of the places one can ever dream of residing in. May Allah SWT make us all eligible to go into Jannah through our righteous deeds and steadfastness on our religious convictions! Aameen!
