Ramadan is the most Holy month for the whole Muslim Ummah. In this month, Muslims around the world observe fasting. Roza or Fasting is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam. It is mandatory for every muslim to fast in this month.
The importance of Ramadan is explained multiple times in Quran. In this month the doors of Allah’s blessings and forgiveness are opened and the sawab for each act is multiplied. The importance of this month can be judged from the fact that the Holy Quran was revealed in this month. The important night of Laylatul Qadr falls in the Last 10 days of Ramadan. Muslims repent and seek Allah’s blessings on this important night.
Special measures are taken to make full use of this holy month by the muslims. Acts of Charity are increased and Muslims give back to the poor and needy in form of Zakat.
At the end of Ramadan, Muslims are blessed with the special day of Eid-ul-Fitr. All the muslims observe this day with full zeal and zest as Allah has promised it as a gift to Muslims after 30 days of Fasting.
